Standards of Beauty

Many loving, sweet, kind women are overlooked because they don't fit your rigid standards of beauty...

 * A psychological study in 1995 found that three minutes spent looking at a fashion magazine caused 70% of women readers to feel depressed, guilty and shameful.

* Models twenty years ago weighed 8% less than the average woman. Today they weigh 23% less.

* There are 3 billion women who don't look like supermodels and only a handful who do.

* The models in the magazines are airbrushed -- not perfect!

* If Barbie were a real woman, she'd have to walk on all fours due to her exaggerated proportions. (Picturing Medusa walking on her belly. Yuk)

* The average woman is 5'4" tall, weighs 144 lbs, and wears between a size 12 and 14.

* By today's standards, Marilyn Monroe would be considered overweight. She wore a size 14. Even by today's standards, I doubt that anyone could overlook her beauty.

Win, I have printed this and am placing it on my wall by this computer and I'm taking a copy of it to work to put on my cubicle wall.  Thank you!
