On Tuesday, my graphic group's Question of the Day was:
What was the worst job you ever had?
This is a good question to ask someone who is looking for a job! LOL...
I have had a lot of jobs... My response is this...
A part-time job is better than no job...
A job that pays very little is better than no job...
A job that offers no benefits is better than no job...
A temporary job that offers no security is better than no job...
Any honest job is better than no job...
When it comes to work, some people have a choice not to work, a few people go to work because they want to, but most of us go to work because we have to make a living...
Not everyone wants to work, but everyone wants to feel useful... and everyone wants to feel appreciated...
Even a roll of toilet paper wants to be something...
Even a rock wants to be something...
Even a brick wants to be something...
No matter how humble, honest work is a gift... If God has given you any kind of talent or skill, it is up to you to discover what it is and to make it work for you, because whatever you do transforms you into God's gift to the world...
In turn, there are good bosses and there are bad bosses, but free will allows you to choose to be a slave to your boss or to your job... or not... A simple change in attitude will free you from that bondage, because in reality, your real Master is God...
When you perform your job as if you are working for God, your whole outlook about your job changes... You paymore attention to the little details of your job... You go out of your way to do even more than what is on your job description... You perform your job with more gratitude... You perform your job with a cheerful attitude... You always want to do your best... You are always looking for ways to please God with your work, because you know that the work that you perform on earth will bring bigger rewards than anything that man will ever give you...
This is the transformation that pleases the Lord.
Whatever you do...
the works of your hands...
the works of your mind...
the works of your cheerful spirit...
These are all gifts that were already given to you...
but your free will allows you to give them back to God...
or not...

love this entry:) so any word on the job front? keeping you in prayer
Deb
My Daddy always told me that whatever job you had in life, if you do it well, then there is no difference between a garbage collector and a business tycoon. Every job in life plays an important part in how we are able to exsist on this planet! I'm still praying for you and I know God has something wonderful planned...
Pooh Hugs,
Linda
