Power of 3

In the local news, a three-year-old little girl survived in her home for three days, feeding herself from the refrigerator. When a neighbor came by to check in on them, the little girl said that her mommy was sick. The little girl's mother had been dead for three days.

It is amazing how God prepares us with everything that we need to meet live's challenges... The innocent little girl had no idea what death is... She only knew that her mother was not responding... but her natural instincts told her what she had to do to survive...

As sad is this story is, it proves that God will take care of us until help arrives...

Faith is the ability not to panic.

As a child of God, prayer is kinda like calling home every day.

That is a painful story, Win. I'm glad the girl survived, but feel very sad for her.

Have I mentioned that I love your spirit.  Instead of seeing the dark side of this story you see the way God led her through adversity.  God bless you Wini.

That really is sad though.  I remember reading articles on how a mom went to jail and never told anyone her 2 or 3 year old girl was home alone.  The kid ate uncooked pasta and cereal until finally someone found her.  :-(

Guido pointed out your story so I came across to read it.
How very sad the child's mother died like that but oh how wonderful that God intervened eventually.
This little one's guardian angel was certainly working overtime.

Sad to read! But children are so resilent in their innocence. (Hugs) Indigo

I came here tonight via Guido's journal.  It is so sad that the little girl lost her mother.  However, it is a testament to the resiliance of the human bieng that allowed the little girl to do what was necessary to stay alive.  A sad, yet uplifting story.

Yeah, that's a good mom to have helped let the girl know, or to have the girl observe her often enough.  As you say, God was there.  I do feel for the girl, glad that she was found and survived, likely warm enough and with sufficient food.
